Genoa Science Festival

Genoa, 25 October - 4 November

From 25 Oct. to 4 Nov. 2018 Genoa will host the Science Festival, 16th Edition. 

“Change” is the main theme for the Festival 2018 edition. The event has been organized since 2003 and its aim is to make science comprehensible in a charming and innovative way for a large audience, especially for young people

The Festival is a meeting point for researchers, enthusiasts, schools and families and it is one of the biggest events for the dissemination of scientific culture at an international level. Meetings, workshops, shows and conferences will tell the science in an engaging way, with interactive initiatives and cross sections. 

Each year the Festival offers happenings inspired by current issues and hot topics of scientific debate. Major national and international guests are another strong point of this event. 

The Italian Space Agency will take part in the Festival, by organizing 4 events

- A picture exhibition dedicated to the ASI 30th anniversary (25 Oct. to 4 Nov. - click here for infos); 

- “Towards the Moon and then Mars”, a lectio magistralis given by Roberto Battiston, ASI President (26 Oct. at 9.00 pm - click here for infos); 

“The nanosatellite revolution” conference; Giancarlo Varacalli, ASI, is among the lecturers (1° Nov. at 6.00 pm - click here for infos);  

“Lights and waves rhapsody”, a show performed by ASI, INFN and INAF researchers and by musicians Danilo Rea, Paolo Damiani and Martux; Immacolata Donnarumma, ASI, ia among the researchers (1° Nov. at 9.00 pm - click here for infos).
